India is truly a democratic nation. At least the current government at the centre doesn’t mind if a celebrity makes sarcastic remarks about a campaign it is successfully running across the country, which is getting the attention of every celebrity in the country. Of course, when Shah Rukh Khan was promoting Happy New Year, he opened his interview on a television comedy show brooming the floor. But now, the 49-year-olds opinion of the broom-the-country campaign has changed.
At a recent event for kids last evening, SRK said, “Mein toh baar baar bolta hu ki mein dil se saaf hoon. Main dil ki safai kar raha hu, dimaag ki safai kar raha hu, mujhe waise bhi thoda ajeeb lagta hai jhadhu ko pakadte hue, specially gloves ke saath. Main dil se saaf hoon and I believe in cleanliness. Inshallah joh bhi humse bann padhe hum karte rahenge and not necessarily as a motive , but maine kaha main dil se saaf hoon, mera dimaag saaf hai, zubaan saaf kar raha hu aur jaise jaise hoga saari duniya saaf karwaunga.”
